Oak Park Celebration Center: Senior Thesis

Sacramento, CA

The first suburb of Sacramento, Oak Park, situated south-east of the State Capitol, is known to locals as "The Ghetto".  With high crime rate, low-income residents, and socioeconomic issues, Oak Park is not a desirable place to visit or live in.  Some redevelopment projects has helped the image of Oak Park, but the Celebration Center proposes a larger impact on revitalizing this historical neighborhood.
